Lucan United has Marketing, Sponsorship & Communications Subcommittee, plays a vital role in promoting the club's mission, generating revenue, engaging the community, and building a strong and sustainable foundation for the football club.
Objectives
Outlined below are the objectives of The Marketing, Sponsorship & Communications Subcommittee, delineating our strategic aims and targets in promoting, securing sponsorships, and fostering communication within our football club
- Promotion and Visibility: The subcommittee works to enhance the club's visibility within the local community and beyond. Through strategic marketing initiatives and effective communication channels, it promotes the club's activities, achievements, and values to attract new players, volunteers, supporters, and sponsors.
- Revenue Generation: One of the key objectives of the subcommittee is to secure sponsorship deals and partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and individuals. These sponsorships provide essential financial support for the club's operations, including facility maintenance, equipment purchases, and player development programs.
- Community Engagement: By organizing events, fundraisers, and outreach activities, the subcommittee fosters meaningful connections with the local community. It provides opportunities for players, parents, volunteers, and supporters to come together, participate in club activities, and contribute to the club's success.

- Coordinator/Chairperson: Katie Murphy Doyle
- Oversees all marketing, sponsorship, and communication activities.
- Acts as the primary liaison between the subcommittee and the club's leadership.
- Marketing & Communications Manager: John Markey
- Develops and executes marketing strategies to increase the club's visibility.
- Manages the club's social media accounts, website, and email communications.
- Creates content and promotional materials to engage players, parents, and the local community.
- Sponsorship Liaison: Roy Shanahan
- Identifies potential sponsors and partnership opportunities within the local community.
- Develops sponsorship proposals and manages relationships with sponsors.
- Secures financial support and in-kind donations to support club activities.
- Event Coordinator: Brenda Yourell
- Plans and organizes club events, fundraisers, and community outreach initiatives.
- Coordinates logistics, volunteer recruitment, and promotion for club events.
- Works closely with the sponsorship liaison to incorporate sponsorship opportunities into events.
