TRAVELLING GUIDELINES & TRIPS
Travelling Guidelines & Trips
When travelling with young people coaches/volunteers of Lucan United FC should:
- Ensure that there is adequate insurance cover
- Not carry more than the permitted number of passengers
- Ensure the use of safety belts
- Keep to the rules of the road
- Avoid being alone with one player other than your own child.
If travelling abroad with teams
- Those teams wishing to undertake international travel will need to apply to the Exe for permission to travel under Lucan United Fc name at least 14 days in advance.
- Any trips abroad must be booked through our partners

Trips
- All fund raising must be agreed by the Exe in advance
- All money raised for trip or other items must be kept in Offical club bank account
- Under no circustances can people raise money and hold on to it in personal bank accounts or other methods.
- Receipts must be kept for everything
- Hospitalisation of any Club Member
- Where an accident/incident occurs during club activity or while away at club activity results in the calling of the emergency services and/or hospitalisation of a member occur, the club manager on the trip must contact a member of the EXE as soon as possible.
- All leaders on the trip must be garda vetted and have recognised safeguarding training,
- All members must be made aware of who the trip leaders are.
- A Parental Consent email for any student Under 18 years of age must be provided to the manager of the team
- Trip leaders are responsible for the supervision of all club members whilst engaged in the respective sporting activity and during travel to/from such activity where travel is organised by the club.
- A responsible adult must be in place for every 10 children on a club trip.
